Getting Warm

5:03 this afternoon, and I took our director of security, Charlie, out to check the perimeter. It felt warm.

With temps like this, summer is right around the corner. Typical highs here in July are in the mid-120’s. Death Valley is usually only 2 or 3 degrees hotter than here.

114 F, I need to grab a sweater…………………, by the way, the security director expects to addressed in the proper manner, it’s not Charley, it’s Charles.

      Hi Cranky Yankee,

Charles it is, then. He’s a Lhasa Apso, 14 pounds, loves to hang out with us, and takes his job patrolling the Underground Carpenter Mega-Complex very seriously.

Guess I can’t complain about our 109 heat index then : ) The 25 MPH breeze off the Gulf makes it feel downright balmy though, if you can find some shade…

      Hi Mayberry,

At 2 this afternoon it was 118 degrees, but the wind came up and the temperature dropped like a rock to 116 degrees. :-)

Like you, I’m a heat lover, so I look forward to summer.
